Lime Stone

Calcite is crystallized calcium carbonate with a chemical formula CaCO₃. It can be transparent, white, yellow, rustic green and bluish. Its hardness is 3 and its specific weight is 2.71. It decomposes in cold and dilute hydrochloric acid with severe foaming. It is drawn with a pocket knife. It dissolves in CO₂ water and makes Ca (HCO₃) ₂.
